The sun stays out longer in Miami...

About 30 minutes longer to be exact. What am I supposed to do with half an hour of extra rays? Easy. Write.

A lot has been going on lately. For example, a three day road trip, a move to Miami, and this week I begin my studies at Miami Ad School. Yes, there are such things as ad schools. Weird, right? #Scion

While all this is happening, it’s been helpful for me to try to relax. Although it’s kind of an oxymoron to exert effort to induce tranquility. Sometimes that’s just how things work. It often takes a bucket full of hard work to achieve an ounce of success. This is why I continue to focus on enjoying the ride, rather than eyeing the destination.

I sit here, twenty-nine stories up, in an apartment overlooking a misty strip of downtown Miami and a receded shoreline of the beach. It’s harder than it sounds. Just kidding.

The ocean’s aquatic tint fades darker as the sun pulls the sheets over its eyes. There’s something about these supplementary 30 minutes. Maybe I’ll figure it out by the end of my year in Miami. Or maybe it’s better off remaining a mystery.

This blog post helped me relax before a big day. Hopefully you’re reading it at a low light setting so you can say the same.
